Special Collections:
  • Genealogy - located at the Covington Branch, this collection includes census on microfilm, family charts and histories, and a local newspaper archive.

  • Louisiana State Depository - located at the Slidell Branch, this collection includes selected documents issued by state governmental agencies.

  • Bayou Bonfouca Superfund Project and the Southern Shipbuilding Corporation Superfund Project - located at the Slidell Branch Library, is the official local repository for these documents. These two EPA Superfund Projects took place in the early 1990's-1996 in Slidell and involved the clean up and incineration of hazardous wastes. The collection includes air monitoring reports, progress reports, reports/studies from contacted companies and reports from citizen groups.
