St. Tammany Parish Library Presents

Reinventing Government

The St. Tammany Parish Library, Covington branch, presents a continuation of the program called Reinventing Government with Bob Maurice as facilitator. The next meeting’ topic is entitled “New Ideas for a Congress: Could a Unicameral (One-House) Legislature Be the Answer?” All topics discussed will be apolitical, that is, there will not be any endorsement of any particular party, movement, or issue. Please join a learned and experienced group of individuals (including a former U.S. Administrative Law Judge) as they discuss the following topics:

  • What should constitute a term of office?

  • Should there be term limits and if so, how long would the term last?

Mr. Maurice holds an undergraduate degree in Humanics (Human Relations) from Missouri Valley College, an associate degree in Mechanical Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a graduate degree in Educational Administration from the University of Rochester, N.Y.

The next meeting date is Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the Covington branch library.
