Children from Birth to 7 Years Old If you're not reading on your own yet, ask someone to read aloud to you for at least 12 hours during the summer, within the program timeline. Children from 7 to 11 Years Old Read
for at least 12 hours during the summer, within the program timeline. You can read anything you want
to read. You do not have to read all 12 hours in one day. Read at
least 15 minutes a day. Spread out the fun! Also, if you want, you can earn the "Compass and Map" patch
by reading at least 5 books about another country. They can be folktales, non-fiction books, cookbooks, craft books, biographies, or fiction books that take place in a foreign country.
