The St. Tammany Parish
Library, Slidell branch, presents a series of three food-related
programs at the Slidell branch library called Slidell Cooks! This
presentation will consist of three programs, all dealing with food and
recipes. The dates, times and descriptions are as follows:
Saturday March 20, 2010 10 AM – 12 PM John Besh presenting his book My New Orleans
Saturday March 27, 2010
2 – 4 PM Jerald and Glenda Horst presenting their book The Louisiana Seafood Bible: Crawfish
The event is free and open to the public, and registration is required.

The St. Tammany Parish Library, Causeway branch, presents a series of classes called Jazz 101 with Tom Morgan.
This series of classes will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 11:45 a.m. on four consecutive Saturday mornings starting on March 6, 2010 through March 27, 2010 at the Causeway branch library.

The Socrates Cafe
A Philosophical Discussion Group
The Covington Branch Socrates Café is scheduled for the second Monday of every month from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The next meeting, and the last of this session, will be Monday, April 12, 2010, and the question considered will be “Can society become less violent”?
The Covington Branch Socrates Café is scheduled to resume meeting the second Monday of every month on September 13, 2010 and will continue until April 11, 2011.
