Recently, LDS changed how users order microfilm. LDS is now using an online ordering system where patrons are able to place their microfilm orders directly with LDS through their FamilySearch.org website. This system is automated, and you will be notified when the item is shipped from LDS and when the item has arrived at the St. Tammany Parish Library.

To Create an Account:

• Go to www.FamilySearch.org
• Choose “Sign In” from the top right hand side of the screen.
• Create a free account.
• Use the catalogue to obtain film numbers.

To Order Film:

• Go to www.FamilySearch.org/films
• Log into your account.
• Follow the on-screen instructions for placing an order.

Don’t forget to choose St. Tammany Parish Library as your Family History Center!

Slidell Patrons: All film must come through Covington Library before being sent to Slidell. After the film has arrived, you can call/E-mail Ashley to have it sent to Slidell.

You will be required to pay online for all microfilm ordered from LDS. You can do so with either a credit card or a PayPal account.

Patrons will still be able to view their film at St. Tammany Parish Library; however, we are unable to place orders on the behalf of patrons.
