E-mail: louanne@stpl.us

Technical Services is comprised of Collection Development, Acquisitions, Cataloging, Physical Processing, and Interlibrary Loan. These library departments function behind the scenes to identify which titles to buy, how many copies, where to assign them, and who to buy them from. Technical Services staff create and manage accounts, funds, purchase orders, and invoices in order to receive and pay for library materials when they arrive. Library catalogers copy or create bibliographic data for each title added to the library collection and import that data into the library catalog. Processors add the labels and covers to the materials. And Interlibrary Loan borrows from and lends materials to libraries outside of St. Tammany Parish.
