Puccini Opera Showings Introduced by Paul Cimino

MADISONVILLE - Opera aficionado Paul Cimino will introduce Giacomo Puccini operas in three sessions. The series begins with “Turandot,” (performed at the Forbidden City of Bejing) on Saturday, October 19. The program continues with “Tosca,” on Saturday, October 26. The series concludes with “Il Trittico” (Three In-One Act Operas) on Saturday, November 2. All events will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Madisonville Branch, 1123 Main St., Madisonville.
Cimino is a native of Cefalu on the island of Sicily. He has taught Italian cooking, culture, language and history and also had a career as an opera singer.
Cimino states “The world of opera without Puccini's music would be as a world without sunshine.”

The event is free and open to the public, and registration is recommended. Light refreshments will be available. Seating space is limited to adults.
