LYRC is a reading enrichment program from the Lousiana Center for the Book in the State Library of Louisiana. Librarians from around the state have compiled two lists of books for grades 3-5 and 6-8. Louisiana students in these grades are eligible to participate by reading at least three books from their grade level list. Students can vote at participating schools. Students who are not participating at school and homeschoolers can participate through the St. Tammany Parish Library. The books that receive the most votes are the Award Winners. The books that receive the second most votes are the Honor Books. Ballots must be received by Thursday, January 31, 2013 to be eligible. |
