Protect Yourself from Identity Theft

Kristen Prestenbach of Regions Bank will teach participants how to avoid  identity theft  from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, at the Covington Branch Library, 310 West 21st Ave., and from  6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, at the Causeway Branch Library, 3457 Hwy. 190, Mandeville.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, “Identity theft happens when someone steals your personal information and uses it without your permission. It’s a serious crime that can wreak havoc with your finances, credit history and reputation — and can take time, money and patience to resolve.”

Prestenbach has 13 years of experience in the financial industry.  She has a passion for helping customers reach their short and long term financial goals. Identity protection is one of the most important components of obtaining financial security.

The event is free and open to the public. Seating space is limited to adults. Light refreshments will be available. Registration is recommended and opens two weeks prior to the event.
