Community Outreach Team of His Holiness the Dalai Lama
Speaks about the Historic Visit of the Dalai Lama to Louisiana

If you are unable to see the Dalai Lama when he visits New Orleans in May or if you are simply curious about him, come and learn more from the His Holiness the Dalai Lama (HHDL) Outreach Team. The outreach team’s presentation is designed to bring awareness of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the many roles he serves as a messenger of peace and tolerance for all people and nations.  The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the Slidell Branch, 555 Robert Blvd., Slidell, 985-646-6470.

The presentation will include information about the many events surrounding the Dalai Lama’s visit, a presentation by New Orleans author Whitney Stewart recounting her experiences with the Dalai Lama, a film presentation of the Dalai Lama and a question and answer period.

On his visit to Louisiana, the Dalai Lama will be offering encouragement for resilience and strength, through compassion and connection as we work together.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is recommended. Call the Slidell Branch to register or register online at register.stpl.us/evanced/lib/eventcalendar.asp.
Light refreshments will be available. Seating space is limited to adults.
