Fall Plant Swap at Bush Branch Library

Looking for something new to plant in your garden or have a few plants to share with other green thumbs? The St. Tammany Parish Library Bush Branch will host a Fall Plant Swap from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 28 at 81597 Highway 41, Bush.

Divide some clumps of your favorite plants or gather seedlings, seeds and cuttings and bring them to trade for others that you do not have. Consult with master gardeners and borrow some gardening books from the library.  Children and pets are allowed, but some plants may be sharp or poisonous. Pets and children must be closely supervised.

Marjie Jahncke, Bush Branch Manager, stated,  “The plant swap offers an opportunity not only for members of the community to share the bounty of their gardens, but also for the library to share the bounty of its collection of gardening books, DVDs and magazines. Knowledgeable Master Gardeners will be here to offer advice to ‘green’ gardeners as well.”

Please call 985-886-3588 for additional details or visit our website www.sttammanylibrary.org .This program is free and open to the public. No money will be exchanged. The swap will occur, rain or shine.
