Comedian Darryl Littleton Presents
“Black Comedians on Black Comedy”

Has Chris Rock, Bill Cosby, Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Pryor or Eddie Murphy ever made you laugh so hard it hurt? Then join us as comedian and author Darryl Littleton discusses the Black comedians who paved the way for those greats. Littleton, writer of "Black Comedians on Black Comedy: How African Americans Taught Us to Laugh" and co-author of “Comediennes: Laugh Be a Lady," will deliver two unforgettable performances at the St. Tammany Parish Library’s Causeway and Slidell Branches. The events will take place from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4 at the Causeway Branch, 3457 Highway 190, Mandeville,(985) 626-9779, and from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5 at the Slidell Branch, 555 Robert Blvd., Slidell, (985) 646-6470.
Essence magazine said of “Black Comedians on Black Comedy,” “Historical and hysterical. . .Thank Darryl Littleton and his impressive new tome for giving us an honest look at the evolution of Black humorists.”
Mr. Littleton has toured the country doing stand-up comedy as D’Militant. He has worked with Chris Rock, Steve Harvey, D. L. Hughley, and Cedric the Entertainer. Littleton will be available to autograph and sell his books after the program.
